I heart Faces - Anything But A Face!

It has been a while since I have participated in a I Heart Faces Challenge, and I really miss it! I love going through all the other entries, and seeing everyone's interpretation of these challenges.

This week, these lil feet that I adore are my focus of Anything but a face. I love how they are in constant motion even when he is relaxed playing the ipad.

7/52 - Texture

One of my favorite things to capture is texture, o this week's theme, was a great one. Although I shot numerous shots, of popcorn, stuffed animals, and anything else with texture, and apparently it is a lot harder than I thought it would be. This shot is one of my most favorite recent shots, as the rotting pier had a nice large hole in it, and I love to focus on how you can really see it in this shot.

Puddle Splashing

It has been raining all week here, and dumping snow in the mountains, including the ones around the bay area! We decided to grin and bear the cold wet rain and go for a puddle splashing walk, we got about a half a block, and came home for some hot cocoa. I know both lil ones had a fantastically cold time, and both were soaked by the time we got home. My camera was also soaked, making it really hard to focus with all the water on my lens!

The news says it is going to snow at sea level, and we are expected to see snow on saturday here a very rare occurrence, one I have never seen in my lifetime in this area!

6/52 - Headless

I had an engagement shoot this weekend, and luckily unlike the rest of this week, the weather was absolutely beautiful!!

Week 5/52 - Food

I hate cooking, so I though I was doomed for this weeks assignment. And while I do love baking, this week was not a week to bake, as the kids and I have all been sick all week, and as an added bonus I took Bug to the doctor this morning, and she has a double ear infection. It explains the screaming for half the night, the last few nights, poor lil girl.

So instead of some yummi baked food, how about some colorful and pretty farm fresh food instead!!

Cake Smash

Since Bug fell asleep at her party before cake time, we attempted a cake smash. She was unsure what to do with it, so I got her a spoon to use, she got it after that, but really wasn't all that interested. She ended up pushing the plate around more than anything else.
